Chocolate poisoning of dog

For human, chocolate is a very tasty food, and not problematic in our health. At most only add weight and damage the teeth.

But for our dogs, chocolate, it is very dangerous because the substances contained therein. Chocolates contain substances caffeine and theobromine. theobromine substance was highly toxic to our pet dog. Many people underestimate and still give chocolate as a snack to their dog. They are usually said “the dog very like chocolate, and there is never a problem.” Actually, every year, especially in the United States many cases the reported death of a dog that is caused by chocolate.

Dog that is sick because chocolate poisoning will virulence stomach and is usually accompanied by vomiting with blood. Vomiting usually smell chocolate. Then the dog will be issued excessive fluid saliva, anxiety, and difficult to stand or walk because the body feels stiff and cramped. Sense of thirst will be increased in the saliva and hold out, the dog will continue to drink and then vomiting again.

If not given immediate help, a dog will be further increased as breathing, muscle tremor, rigid body, urine contains blood, the blue gum, even, and eventually die.

Usually, when doctors see symptoms of the dog always said that the dog disease parvo or distemper nervous because the symptoms are similar.

There are no drugs that can offer a poisonous chocolate. Usually by the doctor dogs were given only infuse and given extra oxygen to survive until the dog can put off poison of chocolate by itself.

Now, if you already know that chocolate was very dangerous for dogs, from now do not give chocolates to your dog.

Note: The amount and type of chocolate eaten and the level of tolerance in the dog also determine. But, to kill a dog weighing about 10 Kg required an average of 250 grams of chocolate only.
